The Dallas Institute opens its doors to members and new friends with a wine reception and a brief program featuring Dallas Institute Fellows. In the Open House spotlight this Spring is Dr. Frederick Turner, Founders Professor of Arts and Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas. A longtime Fellow of the Institute, Prof. Turner will speak about the importance of the humanities--and especially poetry--in culture. The evening will conclude with drawings for Institute classes, events, and books.
