Humanities at Work is a program of seminars based on classic humanities texts for specific organizations. Law and Imagination is a seminar program for attorneys, in which they earn continuing legal education credit as they study classic texts in literature and politics from the perspective of the legal profession.

BREAKFAST BOOK GROUPEach semester Institute faculty members offer a variety of 4-6 week courses focusing on humanities texts as a means of exploring issues relevant to the contemporary world. Classic literature is the foundation upon which these courses are built.
The Breakfast Book Group meets monthly to discuss recent significant fiction.
EVENTSInstitute faculty, fellows and guest speakers regularly present symposia, conferences, and celebrations treating the cultural significance of a wide variety of works. Recent subjects have included Dante, Ralph Ellison, George Washington and William Shakespeare. Local authors and artists are frequently featured in Institute programs.
